Yes Whites often engage in cooperative feeding. They scoop their food from the surface where the Brown Pelican dives into the water headfirst. Brown Pelicans have adaptations for their skull to handle the dive. Whites do not have the physical adaptation but do have the cooperative feeding behavioral adaptation
