vaush is a problematic internet debate nerd that a lot of younger baby leftists latch on to.
~~He recommended this instance because 196 had a comm here iirc.~~
His subreddit recommended it during the reddit/spez stuff.
196 also recommended blahaj.zone and they had a big vaush following in their userbase.
Why is vaush problematic? I'm out of the loop
He's been known to have chaser-y tendencies, he's been casually misogynistic and racist for the sake of winning "debates", he's been known to defend lowering the age of consent as well as the production of CSAM(child sexual abuse material), and most recently he's been known to collect loli and zoophilic (not furry) hentai.
"problematic" was me being generous.
He's the main reason 196 is so sectarian/"anti-tankie" as he has a lot of fans that post there.
Wow and here am I thinking it's common sense to be anti tankie bc of 196
What'd you mean by this?
I (ex tankie) thougt because of the anti takie sentiment in 196 that there were a lot of ppl in general that were againat takies, but this vaush stuff makes a lot more sense
Ah alright, yeah a lot of anti-tankie sentiment is concentrated online. Other spaces tend to be a lot less sectarian or at least more willing to listen/put aside differences.
Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I'll definitely avoid that guy's channel.
He what?! When did that happen?
I'll be honest I think I confused his subreddit with him.

The meme group made a com here (it has 331 subs but seems to be mostly dead at the moment)
196 also made a post with lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/196 mentioned

Reddit 196 has(had?) a lot of vaushites in their userbase and so that carried over here.
