People sometimes get mad at me for saying there is no such thing as Europe, UK, Australia, etc but things like this happen and I am left with no other choice but to continue believing it.

It's just pure copium in my opinion. If your country is militarily dependent on another for protection then you are by definition a vassal state. You can't have sovereignty if you can't defend yourself using your own means. Europe, and other western countries are entirely dependent on US for protection. The fact that these people believe themselves to be independent is the height of delusion.
