Rules:

Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

MODERATORS
I don't get how Republicans have any credibility amongst the electorate at this point. They demand blind obedience, or else cry foul, and somehow, a significant part of the population still supports this bullshit. Their eyes must be painted on, or else they're willfully ignorant.
They don't care about credibility, rule of law, consistency, or even hypocrisy. They want their team to win at all costs and are stupid enough to not see the consequences of their actions.
There are plenty of stupid, ignorant people who still to this day say both parties are the same simply because they're too stupid and ignorant to tell them apart.
People are just stupid, man. Or, more truthfully... People are poorly educated. By design. The situation here in the UK is similar, large portions of the electorate have no clue what is going on and either don't vote or vote against their own interests. And the people they vote for continue to erode the education systems that might break the cycle... Because of course they would! They don't benefit from an educated, informed populace. They benefit from sheep who will blindly follow the Trumps and Johnsons and Farages into whatever policy makes the ruling classes the most money.
I think it's not that the significant amount of the population supports them, it's rather that they detest the left and would side with anyone except the Dems.
Dems aren't even left man. This is depressing
The problem is how to excise this ignorance out of our culture? We are stuck with this trash for at least my lifetime, and I'm 40. I can't see this country overhauling education, cracking down on racism/xenophobia and unfucking the gerrymandering that has been perpetrated by the trashy right for 20yrs before I die.
