Getting packs of cards in Japan (lemmy.world)

A friend's son wants some cards... here (SEA), they are all (or mostly) fake. So, another friend is coming back from Japan soon and went to a couple of stores... they sell out instantly in the morning apparently. Is this normal? Are there any recommended sites for getting boosters and whatnot?

Yes, it's unfortunately normal currently. You can always use ebay from highly rated sellers to buy boosters as there you can get your money back relatively easily when something goes wrong.
