Things that are so obvious and ingrained that no one even thinks about them.

Here’s a few:

All US americans can go to Mexico EASILY. You’re supposed to have a passport but you don’t even need one (for car/foot crossing). Versus, it’s really hard for Mexicans, who aren’t wealthy, to secure a VISA to enter the US. I’m sure there are corollaries in other geo-regions.

Another one is wealthy countries having access to vaccines far ahead of “poor” countries.

In US, we might pay lip service to equal child-hood education but most of the funding pulls from local taxes so some kids might receive ~$10000 in spending while another receives $2000. I’m not looking it up at the moment, but I’m SURE there are strong racial stratas.

Human wave attacks were used in a desperate attempt to capture a Ukrainian asphalt plant. Russian scientists had never successfully figured out how to produce the material themselves. From returning soldiers the rest of the population was learning about paved roads for the first time and becoming restive. The leadership was feeling tremendous pressure.

Damn. I can't put my feelings into words. There's so much ambient disdain for Russia, and all the various peoples that live there, but no one can bother to know or remember anything about the place.

All the boomers around me watched the USSR get destroyed on live TV. I know this because I saw it too. But as recently as a couple weeks ago I had to listen to someone loudly and confidently expressing themselves and they had actually forgotten that the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore. Also, when they watched the parliament building getting shelled you can see the streets are paved.

I heard someone my age joking about how terrible it would be to fight drunk Chechens in Ukraine, and I had to point out that most Chechens are Muslim, so they're probably not drinking much.

It goes on and on, and you're right, it's beyond parody. I hate these people.

Funny, the last welcome they got to the free world was the all-time historical life expecancy drop that came with the evisceration of their entire society

I'm talking about libs and neocons Americans gleefully sharing combat footage of Russians and Ukrainians fighting, with Russians often on the receiving end of molotovs, bombs, javelins and shit; I personally find war footage disgusting and abhorrent and war is often fought between working class people brainwashed or conscripted into fighting wars on the behalf of oligarchs. . The way major companies pulled out of Russia and refused to service russian citizens, without actually being prompted by the United States. The way that every single company - even ones with zero connection or influence were like "we stand with ukranians in this trying time".

Compare that to today and Palestinians.
