If you're into newer iterations of classical pop/techno songs, here are couple of recommendations:

  • Higher Love - Kygo - (Higher Love - Whitney Houston, 1989)
  • Good Feeling - Flo Rida (Something’s Got a Hold on Me - Etta James, 1962)
  • Bittersweet Symphony - Gamper Dadoni (Bitter Sweet - Symphony - The Verve, 1997)
  • Hot Stuff - Kygo (Hot Stuff - Donna Summer, 1979)
  • Gimme Gimme Gimme - Syzz (Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! - ABBA, 1979)
  • 21 Reasons - Nathan Dawn / Alle Farben (Destination Calabria - Alex Gaudino, 2003)
  • Samba - YouNotUs (Samba de Janeiro - Bellini, 1997)
  • Friday - Riton (Push the Feeling On - Nightcrawlers, 1992)


There are many more, but it's really hard to find a cover that either enhances or builds upon the original or at least keeps the original songs soul intact. The bold ones are personal favorites.

  • Gimme Gimme Gimme // Syzz - That bassline. Fuuuck. 10/10
  • My Heard, My Heart // Ava Max - I swear I've heard this in a gayclub before and was so annoyed because I didn't get the name of the song. 10/10
  • Higher Love // Kygo and Whitney Houston - Feels more like a remix than a totally new song or a cover but don't care. Slaps like a motherfucker. 10/10
  • Good Feeling // Flo Rida - Intimately familiar with this song. Don't care. Still jamming and singing along. 10/10
  • Bittersweet Symphony // Gamper Dadoni - I forgot I have this song saved on my spotify. Was halfway through it and went to save it. 8/10
  • Hot Stuff // Kygo - Great vibes/background music. 8/10
  • 21 Reasons // Nathan Dawe and Alle Farben - You know that meme with Vince McMahon getting more and more excited before falling out of the chair? That. 12/10 *** Samba // YouNotaus** - I don't think I ever stopped dancing in my chair. 12/10

Just found some more in my other playlists:


The Dua Lipa, Elton John song is a bit slow, but perfect for those late work commutes with low traffic. My favorite song with this kind of vibe is Moonshine Got Me or You Wish - Nightmares On Wax which uses the same guitar line.
One of the weirdest weird music videos I know is The Parashute Ending - Birdy Nam Nam, Birdy Nam Nam are amazing Scratch DJs.

Speaking of Dua Lipa. Theres an awesome Dua Lipa x Madonna/ABBA mashup but saddly it's not on Spotify.

Oh awesome! I'm actually listening to a jam right now of Disco and House music (always looking for those good vibes). Might as well change things up a little bit. I think I'm gonna start with that ABBA song though...
