Let the boys race! For fucks sake. Rules suck when they DQ racers over technicalities.
Lol this isn't just a technicality. It's a major part of the sporting regulations.
Well test every car then. DQ everyone who fails.
That isn't even possible given the amount of time it would take. Lewis, is that you?
There are only 20 cars. How hard is it to measure 20 planks?
Would depend how long parc fermé lasts after the race, what equipment they're using to test, etc.
I’d like to see how many cars fail.
I'm not sure, but it's telling that Merc and Ferrari were the only teams who ran their cars so aggressively at the USGP. RB and McLaren actually raised their cars and planned for it, thus not failing the post-race inspection.
It takes about 30 minutes to check a plank. If it can be done in parallel then that's not too bad, if not 10 hours is too long.
