My brother got me into it because his boss just made $500 on one card. So, now I am in the business of collecting--not for money; for the artwork.

Be warned that you're inevitably gonna get frustrated by the dipshits who DO collect for money. Some of them are VERY obsessive, to the point of tracking shipments to stores, so they can buy them out before anyone else. It sucks, but there's still room for for-fun collectors, if you can find places to buy from that have anti-hoarding policies, or just steel yourself for sometimes not being able to buy when you want. GL;HF.

I work at a dollar store in a small town, people go nuts over this stuff. Couple weeks ago, on the day after one of our trucks a customer comes in and asks if we have any pokemon cards. They haven't been put out yet, store manager down stacks and digs through 40 totes to find them, they spent about 700$ and bought them all..

At GameStop they usually have a decent selection.
