And curl your toes inside the boot. We (🇳🇴)also did a light flex in the knee while raising your heel. Basically flex any muscle you can to make the "veins work"

Our officers also was very aware and kept giving attention and ease orders to get us to move

Ha! My sergeant was "22me" (crazy French-Canadian airborne) and we got no such charity! ;-)

I never thought about the toes. Is it "make fists with your toes" like on Diehard?
