Bad parenting is teaching your kids abstinence-only gun education. If you live in a country where half the people have guns, your kid should have a basic understanding of them. If you live in a household that has guns, your kid should have an avanced understanding of them.
I mean, we are definitely a failed state. You can accept that and try to keep your kids alive the best you can, or pretend everything is fine and assume they'll never find themselves near a gun in their lives
