At least until campaign finance is fixed. Citizens United has fully instituted political bribery as a matter of course

I’ll never get over how cheap it is to buy politicians. They make so much money, then they can be made to vote for a genocide for $3000.

I think it's more to do with influence. They gain the favor of a large business with access to basically infinite money which gives them a whole lot more power behind them
