Don’t go to New Orleans, floors in even the nicest hotels are sticky. Even the carpet is sticky. It’s disgusting.

One of the beautiful consequences of making sugar and carbohydrate laden liquid the primary industry of a city under ocean level - sticky puddles everywhere that don’t ever fully evaporate, and if they manage to do so, it’s still just a sticky puddle of bacteria filled sugars wafting their secrets down the street.
