Who puts the liter box next to their shower? We keep our liter box and liter robot in a closet.

Eh, litterbox in the kitchen would be worse. But yeah, small enough apartment means some tough choices.
I'll oust myself, I do. I got a small apartment and in the bathroom next to the shower stall is a nice place to put it.
My cat also sometimes drags out stuff other than sand with her fur and I rather want that to be on the bathroom floor than my bed or living room carpet. He's a fluffy one, so stuff sticks to him.
But I got one of these closed litterboxes with the entry on top, so I really don't have much litter on the floor.
I do as well and I just keep a little broom in my bathroom right next to the litter box
Upgrade to a pet vac asap.
