Worth watching... I never got all the alarm. You can play as a strong woman in Cyberpunk2077 and nobody gave a shit...but maybe that's because it was a binary choice, where in GTA you can play as one or the other, but the other is always going to be there.

Technically in Cyberpunk it's not "one or the other" as you can mix and match genders and genitalia.
True, but I think overwhelmingly it's that it's a single character and you get to choose... I'm just surprised that more of these incel idiots aren't complaining about the gender-fluidness, same-sex relationships, etc...
But because this one pushes the relationship as a part of the game play, everyone fucking suddenly hates it...
Yup. This might be what makes the difference. Misogyny is still the root issue, of course, but players have to deal with a woman as a main character with agency instead of as a subservient sex object and they don't like it.

Women are WAY meaner than men when they want to be...I think thats what incel idiots don't like...the reminder that most of them could kill us in our sleep without a regret...
Women are expected to be kind and friendly, so any 'mean' woman appears more cruel than socially accepted whereas it is often more acceptable for a man to be cold or blunt. Combine that with women often having to be more consistent with their communication to be taken seriously by their counterparts. Women do not have any greater capability for cruelty nor are they any more capable of homicide than a man.
We're all humans, there's bad people and good people, doesn't matter what gender. Also most people have their good days and bad days, also doesn't matter what gender.
They pushed Niko's relationships with everyone in GTA 4, and people look back on that fairly fondly.
This just seems like fake outrage.
Just finished replaying gta4 a week ago, I just ignored the relationship bait and had no issues. It's entirely optional.
Well, I think their outrage is very real, it's just also very stupid.
