They'll certainly shed microplastics, but it's not really a household environmental source concern. The main pathway is through eating or drinking, so if you had edible plants in plastic pots then maybe. But it's still not nearly as much as plastic food containers, especially if you're using them for prep, or the worst, reheating food in the microwave in plastic.
