From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Or use a different platform or wait for Lemmy 1.0
Or simply allow natural, full-fledged discourse occur, instead of attempting to simplify complex opinions into two numbers.
I don't like polls, much.
Well said. And I found computer stuff rarely to be a yes/no thing in the first place. It's almost always a ...well, depends... where are we going with this?... there's ten puzzle pieces which fit here and they all come with consequences and side-effects and form a different bigger picture.
I get the questions, though. And the desire for there to be simple answers to things like, should I install CachyOS? Should I buy 32GB of RAM, put a web application firewall infront of my webserver... There's also a lot of opinions out there regarding those things.
