I don't know why they did another visual refresh. They call the new look "Nova". It's getting annoying now and my tab groups ugly now. To change back to old style:
about:config.browser.nova.enabled.false.Sadly probably won’t be around for more than a couple versions if the past is anything to go by. Really wish they’d quit these constant redesigns and just pick an identity and slowly iterate. It’s jarring as is and genuinely the thing I find most frustrating about Firefox. A tacky never ending treadmill of chasing trends instead of something you can get comfortable with.
I’m just gonna move to ESR when they remove the toggle, or another fork or something. I still miss tabs being tabs
Could look into Firefox UI fix, aka proton/lepton. Custom CSS and such when they kill this switch.
