Due to the tariffs, mostly. Also the range calculation might be different.

Not only tariffs, also competition is very strong in china and margins are thin. And for the EU, cars likely need some adaption to meet regulatory requirements.

Most of that was emissions standards of EURO6.

range estimate, as it is built now would be about 300 miles. epa test more accurately reflects actual driving patterns.

but, it would never be imported as-is, because it's built to china's standards, or lack of. substantial cost to engineer and build for other markets with stricter standards would at least double the price (before the dipshit taxes), increase weight, and lower range estimates further.
