Drive thru coffee shops should be illegal.

Everything I personally dislike should be prohibited by the state.

Road adjacent coffee stands without seating are probably the most common business here in vietnam, it works because its only for pedestrians, bicycles, and motorbikes, I've never seen a car stopped at one, blocking traffic.

God forbid I get a coffee on my way to work.

removing drive-thrus isn't preventing you from doing that

Is there no coffee machine at your house not at work?

Espresso machines are very uncommon at homes and buisnesses in the US.

If someone is waiting in a Starbucks drive thru for a drip coffee they are insane.

No doubt someone does this, but the majority are getting something a bit more complex. Not necessarily good since it is still Starbucks after all, but still

I make my own coffee at home, but this whole thread about shaming people for going to a coffee shop is crazy to me. Even if they want drip coffee, who cares?

I mean you can overpay for drip coffee at the union busting corporate shop if you want.

There are certainly better more affordable places with a drive thru, but sure

Well drip coffee is easy to make at home, i.e the equipment is cheap. An espresso machine and a grinder cost a lot more money, making getting overpriced Starbucks coffee a much more attractive proposition than with drip.
