Than they are installed incorrectly. They get installed on the hot line.
They have a heater since the hot water isn’t hot enough, but you can give it hotter water to be more efficient.
Here in Sweden it is recommended to connect the dishwasher to the cold water mains, the dishwasher heats up the water it needs by it self.
Also, remember that all of Europe uses 220V power, making it far more efficient to heat up water than if you only get 110V
Not if you’re using a cycle that’s way colder than your hot water. My dishwasher varies between 40 and 65 degrees celsius depending on the measured opacity of the water. My hotwater tank is adjusted to 65 degrees plus there’s a long as fuck pipe from that to the kitchen, so the heatloss would be immense.
