I think it was Alaskaball — or rather, somebody expanding on a point made by Alaskaball — that Korea south of the DMZ has so much reactionism because the region has so much revolutionary potential, that there is a very long and storied history of militant labor and anti-imperialist activism there, and that this is why the bourgeoisie there has to work overtime to suppress proletarian movements and promote its ideology instead. This is really true of fascism or reactionary ideology anywhere, that it will always be strongest where class contradictions are at their sharpest, since its whole purpose is as an "antibody" against revolution, a tool to uphold bourgeois rule by open tyranny.
It is Korean but I can slap you anyway just for fun
