NASA doesn't need to spend more studying Saturn's hexagon. I just solved it with a hand blender and some peas (sh.itjust.works)

I don't know who is down voting you, but yeah, you're right, split pea soup doesn't require blending. Maybe people use whole dried peas instead of split peas blend it?

Even then just cook them the long the softer and will turn to paste on its own its like potatos. I never have to cook them longer then 2 hours anyway or you already are past mushy peas.
