What impresses me the most is that they took the Telepathy messenger framework and revived it - hopefully that work can be eventually backported to KDE where it started on.

Telepathy is super cool. Just recently I've wondered whether I could get it running with modern software.

Same - the KDE accounts system feels so empty without it!
