Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

Don't stop there. GWB was enabled by Clinton, who was enabled by Bush Sr., and so on.

Ever since Nixon was pardoned

Let’s not start history with Nixon, you can trace the leadership in this country down a long line of bastards right back to Columbus.

I choose Nixon because he was PARDONED for obvious crimes by Ford.

But yes, we can go all the way back to Xerxes and so on, history precedes Columbus, too.

Yes, I understood the logic of your starting point. I'm saying it's a good idea to extend it further, as even a light skimming of American history outside of a propaganda K-12 textbook will have a laundry list of crimes committed by presidents and other European American leaders going back centuries, virtually none of them facing any consequences, built upon a foundation of dividing society into social haves and social have nots.

Public outrage rising to Nixon actually feeling in legal danger due to public backlash is an interesting exception to the history of presidents getting away with shit, not the beginning of presidents getting away with shit.
