Most Indians in American politics are Republicans. Those repubs think they are white. I feel Usha and her kids don't see the brown when they look in the mirror. Sad.

Many certainly have been but there have been several on the left also. Arguably the most prominent on the left today in American politics is also of Indian heritage - ZM.

Most Indians hate Mamdani. Cause most are right wingers.

Most Indians are right wingers based on what data? According to Carnegie’s 2024 Indian American Attitudes Survey (IAAS) 60% of Indian Americans intended to vote for Harris and 30% for Trump. There is no granular post election data at this demographic level, only for Asians in general, but this is skewed towards democrat more than almost any other minority group, most of which were closer to a 50-50 split this election.

In their country, not according to US politics. Most Indians in India support Modi.

OleChicoAle's post was about Indians in America. What Indians in India think about Zohran Mamdani is irrelevant.

Modi won 36% of the popular vote. Trump won 49.8% in comparison.

If we look at population data as a whole, 17% of Indians voted for Modi and 23% of Americans voted for Trump.

Living in America, I don't feel that most Americans support Trump. I'm not sure how we can say most Indians support Modi when an even lower percentage of the population voted for him.

Modi's approval ratings are higher

funny that there hasnt been many INdian related hate compared to other POC. yea doge definitely increased it, but it hasnt stuck for long, part of it might be that many "industries depend on indians to survive.

its because indians coming from a HIgher caste in indian culture, they believe they are above the lower caste. so when they see whiteness as epitome of wealth and power, thats how they identify it as. and many indians from these castes are often very wealthy. "almost all not so rich " ones i know are more progressive.

It's much simpler buddy. Indians back home love Modi, and they see Modi in Trump. That's also because how during first term Modi was trying to warm upto Trump, and go as far as endorsing him, something no other Indian leader had done before. And Modi is a fascist. Hence they love Trump
