Legitimately though wtf happened? Before covid I was the weird one for being online all the time, now I'm weird for wanting to have actual conversations now and everyone else is glued to the screen.

barrier to entry.

being online all the time used to be hard. now it's easy.

people don't like doing this that involve effort or attention... tiktok requires neither. it's pure pavlovian response.
