I didn’t realize tow trucks camped spawn points like this.
Yeah there's some predatory companies that will grab a vehicle after its been sitting for just a few minutes. They suck. That being said if this is a real story the driver is an idiot for not listening to corn dog man.
They don't suck. The people leaving their cars everywhere suck.
If you have ever been hit by one of those predatory tow companies your tune would change. I was parked at a friends apartment complex WITH a visitor pass and they still towed me, then charged me $400 release. Cops wouldn't do anything and it would have cost more to sue than the $400 and they know it.
I got towed by one of these pricks in Alaska because the “You can’t park here sign” was completely buried under snow. Also, there was absolutely no reason for people not to park there.
Yep, in the city, you listen to the locals and say thank you.
Yes. Nearby black spots for crashes too; which is great because they're often clearing the road or helping traffic before emergency services arrive.
A city I used to live in actually had state trucks whose sole job was to arrive fast and just start bulldozing broken down or damaged cars off the major road with giant cushion things. Then a tow truck that was waiting nearby would load them up. Everything could be cleared so quickly.
