There's a lot of famous artists today, but I'd love to discover new pop music that is oriented around a band instead of an individual. Bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd have all topped the pop charts. Glenn Miller's Orchestra topped the pop charts in 1940 with a fully instrumental song In the Mood.
I can think of Sammy Rae and Friends, but no others. What are your favorite modern pop bands? Especially ones with a focus on instrumentals. Edit: thanks for the recs!

May be what you are looking for.

Under the OPs post, I guess they would fit. But Interpol is classic post-punk. As for the Cure, they can be classified as many other genres.

No shade or anything, I'm just too particular on my music. Great suggestions though.

If I'm thinking similar bands (for OP) maybe New Order?

Interpol and Franz Ferdinand are from the 2000s, The Cure are from the eighties. Not sure how 'modern' they are.

They have all released albums this year or the one before.

Unfortunately I'm of the opinion that the early albums make the band.

Fortunately I don't care about your opinion.

Unfortunately you're completely wrong with your attitude.
