Someone i knew who was really academically excellent without any effort, he loves/loved rhythm games. I think people are drawn to games which fill a void of what they can get out of their own life, so someone who doesn't play a musical instrument or sports for instance can get that from rhythm games.
I've also known rather intelligent people who love rhythm games. Something tells me anon is doing a little projection here.
Or simply 'cause any kind of game Anon isn't good at/doesn't like is for "stupid" people. Classic "4chan hardcore gamer" behaviour
It's already too late for I have depicted myself as the chad Crusader Kings player and you, the soyjak rhythm game player.
John Carmack also loves beat saber IIRC and I hear he's pretty smart

... also I still want to try beat saber... it seems like fun cardio.
When I see beat saber gameplay it looks like something I'd love and wouod be really engaging to play while also not over-the-top
