Is the top right panel supposed to be assuming it was 2 players in separate engagements, then bottom left you're supposed to be finding out teammates got engaged to each other? I just assumed that was the case from the initial "headline" in top left. Not sure what the purpose of top right panel would be otherwise.

Why is there a news article about hockey players getting engaged? Did they happen to do it on the same day or something? Was it a team effort?

Close, I think? I was doom scrolling and pessimistic about why this was newsworthy but it turned out just being cute. Two players on the same team getting engaged to different people is still joyous, but that story doesn't come with the implied story of people achieving excellence together with their life partner.
