Keeping Dem incumbents in power by slavishly voting for them every time they come up for re-election is exactly how the party has stayed as limited as it has. Your solution works exactly as long as it takes for shitty centrist Dems to fuck everything up (with help from climate change and the generally awful state of the world right now), at which point the country swings back to the fascists. Your whole argument was made in 2020, and your side won then. Would you say "harm reduction" has worked? I wouldn't.
PS: I don't vote for genociders, full stop.
Confusing the general elections and primaries are also an issue.
You aren't changing the ticket a month and change before the election.
Work to do that starts earlier. I worked with some DSA and WFP folks to get some socialists minded folks on more local tickets, unfortunately there was nothing for the larger positions this time around.
If you don't like the people on the ballot, you will need to start making efforts much, much earlier than weeks before voting begins.
PS: I don't vote for speeding up the destruction of the world. Full stop.
