Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

I don't believe I said that at any point, and I'd encourage you to not try and put words in my mouth.

Vote anyway.

Yes, they suck. They suck a lot less than Trump and the Republican party though, and in a choice between two you >absolutely should be voting for the less shit choice.

I’ll remind that a vote for anyone doesn’t prevent you from taking other actions. Considering the way that this administration >has gone so far, not voting might drastically limit other actions that can be taken.

From best option in voting to worst:

literally the initial comment I responded to w/ you. lol. if you can't find a candidate you can say 'hey this is the person you can vote for because of ....' thats a candidates problem. not the voter who has 0 interest in voting for them because they're shitty.

you're entire post is 'vote for this less genocidal candidate' as if its incentive. fuck off.

I suggested people vote.

You continue to try and make my words something they aren't, and you can fuck right off with that behavior.

and I told you in my original response you're going about it the wrong way. its not going to fucking work and you've been incredibly dense the entire time. it didnt work in 2016, it didnt work in 2024, and its not going to work in 2028. it might temporarily work in this instance because of how terribly this admin is but its not a strategy for long term success.

If you want people to vote call out specific things they'll be voting for and if they like them they'll vote. if you can't do that then they'll not vote because the candidates didnt offer anything worth voting for and thats a candidates problem. not the voters fault.

LMK when democrats are running on a platform of wage increases, corporate limits, universal health care. I'll turn out. but if you roll another corporate dem I wont. simple as that.

I'll repeat myself:

You: I dont have to change! You have to change!.
Other person: walks away
You: shocked pikachu
