aaaa stop it there is no UK green party. There is a Green Party of England and Wales, a Scottish Green Party and a Green Party NI.
The Scottish Green Party is a separate party that not only supports Scottish independence, but also was in Scottish government last term and successfully got an actually progressive and super-cool Gender recognition bill voted through Scottish Parliament (then the UK government intervened to stop it). They also successfully pushed through rent controls, expansion of universal healthcare, expansion of renewables and expansion of renters' rights. They're definitely not perfect, but they are 100x better than the "uk green party" as you put it.
Scottish Greens are also anti-China hawks and
edit: ~~pro-NATO like the english and welsh greens.~~
Any sources for this? I've googled and literally can't find anything even vaguely official on either position.
Best I could find was BBC describing them as still officially anti-NATO a few years back. So the only scrap I could find was in their favour.
Yeah they seem to be quite cagey about being openly against NATO since like a 2012 article on their website, but their foreign policy takes are still in the broadly anti-communist alliance (but their support for the BDS campaign and generally anti-zionist position is still commendable). Their commitment to an absolutely anti-military position effectively continues this lack of support for NATO but they are not so explicit about it anymore.
But their China takes are absolutely horrendous on re-reads of their manifesto: https://greens.scot/Manifesto/ExternalAffairs
