That is what Guy Fawkes was trying to do, but that's like, the opposite of the plot of V for Vendetta
Yes, as much as I agree with the core message of V for Vendetta (people should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people), it's very funny to me that this fanatical religious monarchist has been adopted as a symbol of anti-government rebellion. It's absurd. Fawkes was about as far from an anarchist as you could possibly get.
