Went to greece a while ago and tried a bunch of coffee there. Did a food tour and was discussing coffee with the tour guide. Told her I really liked their frappes and she informed me that it's an old drink and the only people she knows who drinks them are older people like her parents ๐Ÿ’€.

Anyways I didn't let that discourage me from learning how to make them at home after our trip and its entered my rotation of coffee I drink.

They are so easy to make. Takes about 1 minute per drink.

Instructions I use:

  1. Add in instant coffee and water (according to the instructions in the instant coffee). Note that I think traditional Greek frappes use nescafe.
  2. Add liquid sugar if you want.
  3. Blend (I use an immersion blender directly in the serving cup/mug)
  4. Add ice and milk.
  5. Serve.

When I make this I also add the ice before blending but I think its more proper to add the ice after.
