I have not seen the live action version. Was it good? Was it necessary?
There's a live action version? I just assumed the middle screenshot was DLSS 5.

I mean, there's a >0 number of good live-action adaptations of animated shows. I've heard mainly good things about the Netflix One Piece show.
If it's so good, then why is there only One Piece of it? Why not a Second or Third Piece?
It just struck me that the 'live action' version of most movies are still like 90% CGI... Really the only thing not computer generated are the actors and even then, only mostly. What's even the difference at that point?

It also missed a few vital scenes. They cut down the movie to fit within an arbitrary time limit.
I'm flabbergasted that they found a way to do a shot-for-shot remake wrong.
They intentionally wanted to make the shot-for-shot remake fail so they can point at it "still failing" and continue to ruin more remakes.
What? That makes no sense.
Did they know the original is shorter?
It was good. It was almost a beat for beat, scene for scene remake. The only scene I specifically noticed being omitted was the one on the beach with the small dragons.
It was almost like DreamWorks was telling Disney, "Hey, this is how you do it. Keep the story the same, and it works, dumb mouse."
