A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

Many, if not most, restaurant server jobs still pay $2 - $4 per hour. Like that's the official rate and they're just allowed to not pay you, since you'll probably receive tips. And that's legal somehow.
My personal conspiracy theory behind the covid-era spread of tipping culture was to get employees to accept tips as a part of their income. Once it reaches a certain threshold you're legally allowed to pay the real minimum wage because the rest is subsidized by the customer.
Didn't Trump make a whole song and dance of promising "No Tax On Tips" in order to get people to report their tipped income?
Lol which is so silly because you already won't be taxed on tipped income if you don't report it 😂
Cash tips are pretty rare now though and paid via card those tips are getting reported and taxed. Plus the employer has to pay you minimum wage if your tips + wage < min wage so employers were definitely making sure employees reported enough tips even in an all cash environment.
