Recently bought a phone specifically for the purpose of using it with lineage os. It was somewhat cheap and had a headphone jack so I was pretty excited but I am stuck. OEM unlocking is already toggled. Fastboot does recognize the device, but fastboot oem get_unlock_data fails. Used the debian versions of fastboot and adb and the latest ones downloaded online, neither changes anything.

I use this phone w Lineageos as my daily, following the instructions provided worked for me.

Questions for you:

Did you make a Motorola account?
Did you install Android SDK?
Did you install Motorola USB Drivers

Yes, but I can't proceed because I can't get the OEM unlock command to succeed
Yes.
I use Linux, I'm unsure if these drivers are available. I wasn't able to find them.

I see! When you boot into Fastboot mode, what's the output of

$ fastboot devices
