Hello Florencia! (I assume you made this community, since you're the mod and poster)

Can I ask, what the idea behind this community is about? More specifically, what you mean by liberalism, because I've got a very anarchist-propagandized brain, and I'm probably thinking of something different than you, when I think that word.

What is the dream of what you're trying to make here?

The basic wikipedia ideals: Individuals have a right to liberty, government by their consent, equal rights under the law, right to private property, etc.

I haven't learned enough about it but want to learn more.

Ah I see! It's really cool you're starting this, as a way to explore and discuss these things!

I think there is a huge lack of discussion of what things actually are, and how they actually work in the real material world, in our culture, so I'm really happy someone in getting into it in such a direct way!

I don't know how you'll go on, about these things, but let me tell you the outline of my opinion here, since I alluded to it before:

I'm an anarchist, which, going by the definition of liberalism on Wikipedia:

Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on the rights of the individual, liberty, consent of the governed, political equality, right to private property, and equality before the law.

Is something fairly similar to liberalism, especially in spirit.

I find all the values listed above to be Good, except one.

I think private property is bad.

You posted an article about it, in your other post here. I haven't read it yet, I'll go read it a bit later, but for now, a simple way for me to summarize my opinion, is:

Personal property (what you use and need) is good.

Private property (what the police will protect as yours through violence, because you bought it and it is recognized by the state) is bad.

Generally, ownership by some, of things one does not use, and especially ownership by some, of common goods necessary for people to live, is something I consider a huge source of the pain people live through today.

So yeah! Glad to have this community around! I think it's really interesting, and wish you the best with it!

I mean, there's also c/tranarchism if you're interested.

I'm supportive of private property though.

Yeah of course, I'm already there, thanks

Good luck then!
