Canadian conservatives vote conservative because they're conservatives and they're voting. It has nothing to do with ideology and everything to do with conditioning. Much like republicans.

That's true. The US Republicans seem to be riddled with people that are anti the republic in both its founding and general concepts of what a republic is.

It's just a dead brand killed off by Mulroney in the 80s.

The current party is just a mix of Western Right -wing MAGA types that were the Reform, Alliance parties out of Alberta.
