and it's gonna be all over, but so fucking unpredictable. one thing I was reading is about the UK and Europe scrambling to add AC to thousands of homes that never needed it, and now people must have it or the fatalities start climbing.
AND, the potential collapse of the AMOC, a current that circulates warm water to colder parts, bringing nutrient rich water around the north atlantic - and if / when it stops, europe is gonna freeze - like, average temps will drop 10c and they may no longer be able to grow grain.
basically, climate change is gonna fuck us all coming and going, and, we still haven't even laid off the CO2 gas pedal, especially in the US, fuck, we're still racing cars in circles for funsies.
we're so fucking stupid it hurts to think some days.
If amoc collapses, Europe won't be 10C° colder, but the weather is gonna be more extreme. We'll have super hot summers and super cold winters. If you check the globe how far north Europe actually is, you'll see that we will basically get Canadian winters and Continental summers(hot and dry).
the crazy thing is, we have very little concrete evidence of what the fuck will happen, no one's ever taken the climate for a ride like this. we're literally unprecedented in the annals of disaster lol.
but the source for that was:
There is a consensus the AMOC keeps northern and western Europe warmer than it would be otherwise,[17] with the difference of 4 °C (7.2 °F) and 10 °C (18 °F) depending on the area.
