If we still have IRC, I'm in. AOL was just a little too lame, sometimes you want to have a conversation that doesn't start with "A/S/L???"
We, uhm, do still have IRC. Right here. No need for a new town or anything. Most servers block Tor because of the chud spammers that have nothing else to do, unfortunately. Although most servers themselves will assign you a fake hostname.
Most of it is tech themed, although some channels are just people being people, sharing random stuff like stories from work. Technically still a project chat but they are never on topic. Or it's #project-offtopic.
Kinda just sounds like discord ngl
Because Discord was originally marketed to IRC users, Quakenet and such specifically, yes.
