EDIT: Removed the quoted comment since it was deleted and the original commenter has apologized. I'm going to leave the rest of my response because I still think it's important. I've edited out some of the explanatory language and made my response less personal.

Listen, it's not the own people think it is. This guy doesn't know who you or I are. These kinds of "jokes" are doing nothing but signaling to trans people and allies that people don't really care about the problems they face. It shows me that someone is unsafe. Please do better.
