World of FF is definitely underrated. I like the gameplay and battle system unironically the best. FFX is good obviously, and FFX-2 is only good if you think of it as a story of healimg and moving on (it requires you to get a specific ending, and not the 100% "best" completion ending). I learnt/understood the latter like 12 years after X2 came out lol.
7 is a bit overrated and 7 remakes are too indulgent in 7's own insular lore and fanservice IMO. Maybe I was a late adopter of 7 and was not clouded by nostalgia (I played 7 about 10 years after its release). Played 13 and 16 at release, didnt really care for both. Played 12, didn't care enough to complete it. Have not played the rest.
