Well that's just bad design. The opening is wrong so of course it'll splash and the floor needs to be one level and tilted to the drain.

I've seen some really good ones that work

we have one at work that doesn't have any glass at all, just the plastic fixture. we installed a curtain rod because it felt strange but yeah drain in the shower basin and a decent floor grade, followed up by non-slip tile. Works a treat the whole 2 times I used it.

Came here to say this, if don’t right they’re pretty sweet

Design is fine but it should be placed in the bathroom with tiles not in the midle of living room with wood floor.. 😅

Those are ceramic tiles. You can tell by the grout lines.

My friend showers without that glass at all, and water goes all around but thats fine since tiles are all the way up to the celing. So I imagine this makes much less mess than that. Floor should be at angle so all the water goes to drain, dont see the need for those towels..

I'm guessing (hoping) that's not actual wood

[–] PrincessCory@lemmy.wtf 1 points 16 hours ago

May be, but in bathroom tiles goes to the top unlike here where its just a small botom layer.

English is not my main language, sorry.

Looks like plastic to me. Or ceramic in style of wood.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 1 points 1 day ago

They're ceramic tiles; you can tell by the grout lines. Wood and vinyl planks don't have large gaps in between like that.

[–] SpraynardKruger@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

I was just about to say, that looks like the wood grain patterned ceramic tiles that are often put in new construction. They're cheap and trendy(ish). Plus it comes in millennial gray, the landlord/contractor special.
