Rules
- This is an English-language community. Comments should be in English. Posts can link to non-English news sources when providing a full-text translation in the post description. Automated translations are fine, as long as they don't overly distort the content.
- No links to misinformation or commercial advertising. When you post outdated/historic articles, add the year of publication to the post title. Infographics must include a source and a year of creation; if possible, also provide a link to the source.

We will use some leeway to decide whether to remove a comment.
If need be, there are also bans: 3 days for lighter offenses, 7 or 14 days for bigger offenses, and permanent bans for people who don't show any willingness to participate productively. If we think the ban reason is obvious, we may not specifically write to you.

My lack of understanding isn't that he can do it, it's why he can. More specifically, how a human can listen to him even just once and still want to agree with what he says.
...because he has charisma. That's the whole point. Charisma isn't a specific, measurable thing. It's something that lets you do it when others can't.
His charisma is the ability to get other people to agree with him. The "agreeing" part is the choice of those other people, not his. If Trump has charisma, it's because people let him. It's their personalities who define the effect, not his.
I can understand Trump. He's simply a textbook narcissist. I cannot understand anyone who doesn't understand that, and how that is at least 30% of Americans, and probably not that much less worldwide.

I don't really know what else to say. If you don't like calling it charisma, call it getting-people-to-like-and-agree-with-him-ism.
There's no functional difference, but at least you don't have to say he has charisma?
If your argument is that he only has charisma because other people like him, then yeah, that's kind of what charisma is. If it's easy and takes no charisma, then just do it yourself. Convince his base to vote for you instead of him.
