They should ask Matt Bevin how things went when he tried to mess with the Kentucky teachers' unions.

Spoiler: We got Andy Beshear as governor.

(Yes, it's more nuanced than that. He was screwing with more public servants than just the teachers. But the teachers' not-legally-a-strike was highly effective, and I personally knew Republican teachers who actively campaigned against Bevin.)
