I've been obsessed with a golden silk orb weaver that built a web outside. The web is SO gold, the name is no exaggeration. That research led me to learn about this real-life legendary loot.

The Wikipedia article is entirely devoid of tactile descriptions of the fabric.

Is it lighter, heavier than regular silk?

Is it stiffer or softer?

How durable is it comparatively? does it stretch?

Should I wash on delicate? Is it drier safe? I guess bleach is OK for taking tough stains out, because it’s not dyed.
