yeah amazing stuff all around, I hope these things are going to be cheap enough to get for running local models

This has an enormous potential. I imagine a Global South semiconductor supply chain, led by China, but completely free from US control. Free from instruction set patents, free from fab production restrictions, and open source from fab to app. This gives me hope.

Same, I'm hoping we'll see China do the same thing with chips and memory as that they've done with EVs and solar.
